The Princess & The Frog: teaser - Is anyone else excited? I'm excited.

HP & The Half Blood Prince: trailer 1 - I am amazed that, barring movie 4, the HP movies seem to be only improving and improving with each new episode. This is a fantastic trailer: it's dramatic, it lures you, it doesn't ruin the whole friggin plot, and it has a genuinely creepy child actor. Who can act! ...Also, when the kid said "Are you the doctor?" to Dumbledore my brain just about exploded with really bizarre [and unwelcome] crossover ideas.

X Men - Wolverine: bootleg trailer - WHOOOO Liev Schreiber! I love him. Yes, go be a fantastic scary person and act more than everyone around you. Go, go! ...Also, still crushing on Hugh Jackman. Have been since that movie about the cows, so many years ago.

How Do You Make An Online Petition?

Seriously, gals and guys, I'm asking. I've seen them around-- I know fandoms do them a lot when canon messes up whatever pairing, or kills off whatever person.

irrel and I have decided we want to make our own fan petition, one that is way more awesome than "please make X/X canon!" and way easier for the writers/producers to respond to than "bring X back from the grave."

What is our petition going to be about? Good question! It's about the simplest thing in the world, for the show How I Met Your Mother:

We want Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders) to have a kareoke duel.

That's it. That's all we want!

Simple, completely plausible within the show situations and characters, and moreover: potential for hilarity and fun way beyond compare. The characters have sung before on the show, but only in little bits or in places where it was done badly for laughs. Robin's character used to be a teenage pop idol in Canada who sang really cheesy pop songs, and [younger] Barney once sung a very embarassing, pathetic ode to a girl on a video.

Cobie Smulders's voice is decent enough in the "Robin Sparkles" videos that she could certainly pull off a great kareoke, and we all know that NPH can sing. But the show has never given him the chance to really sing, like a kareoke battle scene might allow. Not too mention that both characters are known for being extremely competitive, and would probably dive into a kareoke duel challenge with full-fledged enthusiasm and possibly take it way too seriously.

We believe that television should have more singing in general, and more NPH singing in particular. So we want to start a petition!

...but we don't know how. Help?
