:sigh: no one's updating the cowboy bebop section of ff.net ...

I'm listening to "Du Hast" by Rammstein and once again it's freaking me out. I don't know why I find that song scary.

'shaka, you listen to some WEIRD music. & ;-)

(Rammstein is a bit...special around here, but it's this HUGE export success, I know.

No wonder you find it scary, "Du hast" means, of course, "you have" but also-- and especially the way they pronounce it-- "you hate".
Ah, the ambiguities of pseudo-scary music...playing with certain images, fears, insecurities, whatever.
Now, if you want some good German sound, ask me. & :-P

And by the way, you sure are prolific today! & ;-)

And hell, you know what it means. I think it's scary and all I'm hearing is these really creepy-sounding vocals and stomping music.

The only other Rammstein song I've heard is "FireFight", and that was because it was used in a Gundam Wing music video. Excellent fan vid, won the best video award at last year's Fanime Convention. There's something creepy about a 9 year old lip-syncing to them.

Yeah. That's why I'm shaking my head. It's all very ridiculous, ya know?

NO kidding...

and stomping music.

Indeed. As I said, they are trying to be all weird and scary; saw them at the Bizarre Festival once where they set themselves on fire. Big freakin' "rah!". While one can get a good chuckle out of them and find them amusing, I don't fancy this kind of act much. Besides, it gives German rock/whatever a bad name.

In other words-- change the CD, luv. & ;-)

not a cd. MP3. :)

I set my arm on fire once. In chemistry class. The teacher asked for a volunteer, and I'm never one to turn down being the subject of neat chemistry tricks. I had to dip my hand in soapy water first, and then she lit it while doing some special chemical reaction thingy. It was all multi-colored. :g: My hand was like Buffy & Spikes....

Yeah, thought so but was too lazy to change it.

Hee. I remember that experiment.

"Like Buffy and Spike." One of my new favourite phrases. Ya know, "like Romeo and Juliet, like Mulder and Scully, like Buffy and Spike."
