HELP HELP HELP!!!
Jun. 17th, 2003 11:43 amI need technical help. BADLY.
For some reason, my Windows Media Player for XP is working incorrectly. The sound is all wrong... it seems like there's a layer of static/white noise that's making the sounds echo weirdly. It makes every vid I play sound horrible, and barely discernable.
Any ideas?

On another note, I put up 3 BTVS icons.

Date: 2003-06-17 12:15 pm (UTC)You can try updating the Windows Media Player.
Go to Help, and then Check for updates.
If that doesn't work, try the Divx codec. I'd suggest the basic freebie without the adware. The adware is annoying.
Or ...
Does the sound work for things outside of Windows Media player?

I have an old version of DivX and it still works... I thought that was for making the image show up, not the sound? The sound works for everything else... WinAmp, Quicktime, etc.
I guess I'll just try to update it.
