www.animemusicvideos.org is being bitchy. Half the vids I want to download aren't even downloadable. They time out or the page can't be reached.

And the FTP person that I'm downloading Witch Hunter Robin from is really slow.

Have overloading amount of homework I'm trying not to think about.

Going over to K's for the evening. Movie time! She got The Animatrix DVD too. I'm going to bully her into watching it after Spirited Away.


Found out also that K is still reading my journal sometimes. Like today. Hello K! say hello in a comment or something, why don't ya.

Hm... have to be careful to say only nice things now... ;)

EDIT: I was rewatching the Program episode of Animatrix and it struck me how much one of the final scenes of fighting in that episode reminded me of the Buffy-Angel fight in BTVS's Becoming episode. Anyone else think so?

I watched it tonight, and I had to bite my lip to keep from shouting, "Rip-off!" The whole thing also reminded me strongly of Ronin Warriors, AKA Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, in terms of costumes, etc.

Neat bit, though.

You'll find a lot of anime uses that, it's not a rip-off of Ronin Warriors. They said this was inspired a lot by the old shogun/samurai style or manga and anime, especially Devil Hunter Yohko.

Yeah, I figured that, but everything anime reminds me of RW, which is the first of its kind I ever watched.

Except for Warriors of the Wind, a dubbed version of Miyazaki's Nausicaa, which haunts me in an entirely different way.

I need to bone up on my anime. I think I'm going to steal my brother's Cowboy Bebop set.

Is that very good? I haven't seen it yet. Of course, everything by miyazaki is god, but the summaries I've read of it haven't interested me much.
