I've finally made the fancy cover for my Cowboy Bebop Special Soundtrack Compilation.
It's a song list and a nice pic of Spike from the credits, and some other stuff.
I went to the trouble to take the background scenery pic and completely edit out Spike's silhouette so I could just have the landscape for a backdrop. That was rather arduous.

I love that series of images from the credits. I think I'll use Faye's (it's red) for the movie & instrumental soundtrack I'm making still.

I'll bet you're wondering what "disclaimer" is at song #1, huh?

I said it before, it's going to be at the beginning over every CD I make from now on:
"Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberry!"

I just have to think of that and I giggle.

this looks great! i used to make separate compilations too, but i'd just fill CDs with things that remind me of things. interested in my bebop track-listing? ;)

you need the KoHD OST. there's tons of vocals on that one...including the amazing arabic stuff. & there's steve conte's hi-larious "diggin'" ('could it be that i'm just dumb an horny?')

thank you! I do make separate compilations for general downloaded music. I made this because I liked the songs from the series and wanted some of them. I did make a CD that reminded me of Buffy&Spike though.

wanna see the list!

Steve Conte's my favorite of the singers for the Seatbelts. Sexy voice.

i'm going to see if i can set up a way for you to download it. i need to make the HG soundtrack (which is remarkably similar) downloadable too. that'd be a good project for mr. alice. ;)

Totally agree with you. the KoHD OST is one of the best collections out there. Macross Plus comes close, but it's still all good since it's all from the goddess, Yoko Kanno.

what does KoHD actually stand for, anyway?

Oh, you might be interested-- I just put up the prologue of a cowboy bebop fic on ff.net. It's very short (just a prologue) but it's a start.

Well, long story short, it's the official title for the Cowboy Bebop movie coming out this Tuesday. It's Knockin' on Heaven's Door, and is an integral part of the movie. I'm not sure why it's been removed from the American release (Heaven's Gate maybe?) but that's what it stands form.

I'll definitely check out the fic tomorrow when I get some free time. So, I see your Bebop liking has ramped up lately. How come?

Knockin' on Heaven's Door

ih, now I feel silly. I should have guessed that.

Actually, I'm also downloading the whole soundtrack to that, separately.

So the movie's coming out on Tuesday? Is that on DVD? I've already seen it in American theaters.

Buffy's over. I'm transfering. I'm distracting myself from the horrible truth with anything I can... Bebop fic, Ranma 1/2 fic, even Harry Potter fic, if you can believe it. I'd be reading more Trigun, but frankly there just isn't much Trigun fic out there. There's not even that much CB, but its still fairly new to me.

Ahh, I see. Well, don't know if this helps, but I've been trying to keep busy by updating my graphic novel collection. Right now I've got Top Ten, Swamp Thing, V for Vendetta, Fables, and Ultimate War on the backburner. I know you're into manga, so this might help appease your pain somewhat if you're looking for a distraction.

Well, er, that's great and all. But I think it would appease me more if it were my manga collection you were updating. ;)

That's the thing. I'm not that big into manga. However, graphic novels I'm all over. Soooo, just thinking since you're into one, you might be into the other. From your response, I see that you're, err, not :)

 No, I actually read more graphic novels than manga! Besides, it's the same thing. One is just the compacted version of the other. Graphic novels are simply more convenient.

I was beign cheeky. What I meant was that you told me the stuff you were getting, and said that should cheer me up. I was saying that that's fine, but I'm not the one who gets to read yuor new stuff so it's not that cheery. :)

Oh ho. Gotcha. I was just citing examples. As for your personal tastes, I have no idea what kinda stuff you're into. However, I could recommend choices that are hailed as classics and enjoyable to almost everyone. The first of which is Watchmen. Not sure if you've ever read it, but if you haven't and would like to see superheroes treated in an adult manner, give it a shot.
