Bloody hell. The Red Bull energy drink tastes like SMARTIES, of all things. Fuckin' Smarties.

I don't know if I can drink this stuff. I had a plan to drink it, and hoped it would keep me all energized for staying up late.

But jesus... it's like swallowing acid candy.

According to this interview I read one time, TV writer Doug Petrie was high on Red Bull when he wrote the BTVS episode Fool For Love.

I didn' think one measly little can of 8 ounces (at nearly 2 dollars a piece) would be worth bothering, but... having tasted it I can understand why you'd only be able to drink that much.

This better have a lot of caffeine it. If I'm not at least getting my caffeine fix it's simply not worth it.

::guzzles a gulp::

::scrunched up face::

Fuck, I think I'm actually starting to like it. This is so sick.

I read your comparison of Red Bull to Smarties and went "huh? the candy-coated-chocolate candies? No it doesn't!" So of course, I clicked on the picture and went, "Duh. Those Smarties." I was thinkin' of the Canadian ones that are basically just M&M's with monkeys on the wrapper instead of..well..M&M's. Anyway, in total agreement with the Red Bull. It's weird shit. That gives you wings ;)

I think Red Bull is digusting, though I still drink it and totally agree. It tastes like Smarties in sprite. Personally I drink Mountain Dew AMP, Code Red, DNL, Arizona Health shot, and Starbuck Frappichinos.

Dude, our smarties are so totally better tasting than m&ms. Better quality chocolate, I tells you.

Plus, we have a song!

"When you eat your Smarties,
Do you eat the red ones last?
Do you suck them very slowly,
Or crunch them very fast?
Eat that candy-coated chocolate,
But tell me when I ask,
When you eat your Smarties,
Do you eat the red ones last?"

Interesting. I've never tried those before.

But when I went to BC last summer I did notice that *gasp* you guys get Reeses Peanut Butter Cups in packs of three!

For some reason that really intrigued me. We only get them in twos and fours, most of the time.

I hate Mountain Dew. I can't drink that.

though I still drink it and totally agree.

hmm... what's DNL?

Like your icon. Animatrix! That was a really cool episode. All noir and stuff.

Never said I didn't like the Smarties, man! Excellent they are, and the monkeys rock my socks. And that song. ::laughing hysterically:: Wow, just proof that I need to visit my Canadian relatives a lot more often!

It's 7up upside down!
I have no idea how to explain it. It sorta tastes like Green River.

I found screencaps and was listening to David Usher just needed to make that Icon. That is my fave eppy of the Animatrix

See, I kinda like Red Bull, but your description of it tasting like Smarties is very true. :-)

And btw, I believe Doug Petrie was hopped up on a CASE of Red Bull. Which he got from James, apparently. Dealer.

Hmpn. yeah. Where's my dealer?

And only an actor would be able to afford a case of this stuff on a regular basis. It's horribly pricey. A case of 4 is 8 dollars.

The story I heard is, James got a case or two from a fan(thus bringing us back to people burdened with too much money) and when Doug Petrie came to James, all frazzled about writing FFL, James gave him a case of Red Bull. There you have it--the brilliance of FFL is partly Red Bull, partly Joss. Because as we're finding out, Doug sure loved Riley more than he loved Spike.

Yeah. But wasn't FFL his first episode to write all on his own?

It's sad that I'd know that.

I actually liked Riley best in season 5. Turning into a vampire pixie stic gave him internal conflict, whereas his conflicts with the Initaive were kind of cheesy. And plus, he let that year. :)

I know all about energy drinks-- sleep-deprived law student, remember? & :-P

Is Red Bull a new phenomenon over there? Or is are you just new to it? & ;-)

I've been seeing commercials for at least two years now. Maybe more. This was the first time I'd tried drinking it; to be honest when I first heard of it I thought it was a beer. When I told my dad last night that I'd picked some up, he commented that he'd thought it was a beer, and how did I get it? It's just such a "beer" name.
