INTERVIEW!
Jul. 10th, 2003 01:44 pmWheee.... I asked, and
anniesj interviewed me! Cause this interview thing is all the rage these days. Now, I'd be willing to interview someone, anyone wants to, ask!
1) Let's say you were given the power to go back in time and replace any one of the actors on Buffy with yourself. Who would you play and why?
That's a tough question. Ever since I was little I wanted to be the Buffy-like character.... I used to play 'She-Ra' all the time. I have a great obsession with pointy shiny weapons, and I can't stand seeing other people abused in front of me without intefering. On the other hand, I'm not very athletic, I've always been more brainy that a brawler (a brainy slacker, if you will), and I do love the idea of magic, so Willow's a big choice too. It's a tricky question.
Plus, DB and JM, or Seth Green, and Tara and Kenedy girl?
Willow's the most powerful person in the group, and that attracts me... but I think I'd play Buffy. Because I'd want to be the hero. And I really really like shiny pointy weapons.
2) You're out on the town. Prowling and doing your thing. Suddenly, James Marsters and David Duchovny walk in the room and start hitting on you like mad. Who do you take home with you?
My god Woman, you are evil!. What a nightmarish question; how can I choose? I guess... um... fuck this is tricksy... David. As much as it pains me to turn away James **gasp, gurgle, falls pure dead at the thought** I'd pick Duchovny. I don't know exactly why, I mean they're both way older than me. Maybe because MulderLuv came first for me? Or because he's married and I want it to be as wicked and exciting an encounter as possible? Because Mulder used to wear glasses? God, I don't know. James is so hot too... Mulder fantasy or Spike fantasy.... I dunno. I guess I'll stick with my first answer and say David. But shame on you for making me choose!
3) If you could sum up your life with lyrics, which lyrics would you use?
This is the hardest question of all, because I listen to some much music, and identify with so much of it. I don't know if I could point to one song that summed up my whole life so far. Maybe... All I Really Want by Alanis Morissette. Yes, that song is it. Especially the lines "What I wouldn't give to find a soulmate / Someone else to catch this drift / And what I wouldn't give to meet a kindred" and "And all I need know is intellectual intercourse" and "And all I really want is some justice..." The whole song kinda figures into my general mood with my life and the world around me. Wanting something but keep changing what that thing is, impatient with myself and the world, dissatisfied with other people but always wanting them to stick around anyway, hopeful but cynical, wanting to change things but not knowing how.
4) If you were given a free vacation to anywhere in the world, where would you go? What would you do in this place? Why?
Last year, I would have said Washington D.C. But I went last September, and it was amazing. So, to do something different... Scotland and the UK. I'd spend the time looking at historical places, absorbing art and the landscape and writing about it like hell. I'd want to go at some time when there are great parties or festivals... over summer solstice, maybe? I dunno if they celebrate that or not. Why would I go... because I once swore that I would get married on an oceanside cliff in Scotland (this was before Madonna stole my wedding, the bitch.) Because I'm more Scotish than anything else, and every time I hear Celtic music or watch any movie about Scotland or look at swords or celtic jewelry or read a history book about it I get a sudden rush of cultural homesickness. It'd be very much a journey for exploring my ancestral history. I'd love to see the mountains and hills and the beaches. I'm big in love with the ocean, so any vacation is made doubly precious if its a coastal vacation. I could try out the sialing there! And their driinking age is 18, right? Dancing pub fun, here I come. Also, this is the country that produced Sean Connery ansd Ewan McGregor. You bet your shiny smooth ass I'd be boy-hunting. Cute, twenty-year-olds with Scottish accents... **melts into puddle and dies before even getting on the plane.**
5) What is the one talent you wish you possessed?
My second choice is to sing, for the simple pleaure of entertaining myself and my future children. But I wouldn't do much with that wish, not really. So the talent I wish I had... I wish I had the talent of athletics. I've never been as athletic as I wished I could be. I'd love to have the talent of running the fastest, jumping the highest, moving the most gracefully.

Re: interview questiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiioooonssss....
Date: 2003-07-11 06:11 am (UTC)I'm not having kids, but if I did...
Boy: Orion or Nikolai
Girl: Autumn or Elina
2. You see 4 doors. At the top of each there is a title: Harrison Ford from his Indiana Jones days; that dude from the first Terminator movie; Legolas; Brad Pitt from Thelma & Louise. Now pick one. With graphic detail.
:] Are you sure we haven't met? Well, I would have to go for HF in his IJ days. I met him, briefly, when I was living in London and let me just say: yummy. And that was well past IJ. He's very shy which makes him even more sexy than he naturally is.
Now that I think about it, he is very William-esque.
I would open the door, saunter up to him, lightly trace my fingernail along the scar he has on his lip and ask him, in my deep Kathleen Turner-like voice, "Would you like me to kiss it and make it all better?"
[Incidentally, my second choice would be Michael Beign from T1. He is just...just...deeee-lish!]
3. What's your favorite poem? Tie: The Dead Woman by Neruda and A Dream Within A Dream by Poe.
4. Tell me one-two lines from a song that applies specifically to you in some manner or way.
Ha. You do know that I am a songwriter, right? OK, let's see..."I saw your face across a thousand miles, you moved me. An empty space between what's yours and mine, you thrilled me."
I'm writing a song about being a fan; caring [perhaps to the point of obsession] about someone you've never met and feeling that they are a part of your life, despite the reality of the situation.
5. What child actor/ or film character did you have a crush on as a young girl? What would you say if you happed upon him in the grocery line?
Michael York. After I saw him as D'Artagnan in the Three Musketeers, I was smitten. I didn't realize that the movie was decades old and that he was no longer a young man. It didn't even matter when I did find out. He was, and still is quite frankly, the most disarminingly charming man. So sweet!
