I was watching the CB session 5 DVD from Netflix, beacuse it had episode 22, Cowboy Funk, the only episode I had yet to see. I didn't even realize I had a missed an episode for a while, but obviously I had, because I'd never seen this one before.

I loved it. One of the funniest anime episodes I've ever. Cowboy Andy is a wonderful character. And oh how Spike hated him. It was hilarious. And Faye and Jet were hilarious in this episode too-- Faye with her off-hand analyzations of Spike's character and Jet with his hippie costume. And the dubbed dialogue was exceptionally done in this ep also. Too bad everything in the show gets so serious again after this.

I also now recognize most of the footage cribbed for that Trigun/CB crossover music video 'Tainted Donuts.'

Nope, I'm rather sporadic in reading my friends list, these last few months. Until now, my favorite eps had been Pierrot le Fou, Toys In the Attic, and Ballad of Fallen Angels. This one beats them all by just being so damn funny. And kinda shippy too, from the Faye/Spike perspective.

Hee! Totally! I loved that episode. And Pierrot Le Fou (my icon!) was very very very creepy. But rather shippy also.

It was, wasn't it? I loved how there was so little dialogue for the first half of the episode. And then very little in the second half too. You didn't need to be told what was happening, you could just sit back and watch. It was eerie and wonderfully done. plus, shippy. Like when Faye tries to hide it from him. We saw a peak there of the intelligence and insight she tries so hard to hide behind clothes and attitude. And then when he says "Will you come rescue me?" And she does! But not quite as she'd planned, because she's FayeFaye.
