I've just rearranged my entire journal.

Again.

I'm way deep into the watermellon thing. Run screaming from the bright & cheerful pastels.

I've got song lyrics, links, and personalized comments. This stuff is so cool.

Now all I have to do is track down anniesj, and ask her how she changed her font.

And maybe change my background image.

Hi. Ummm...you probably don't really know me, but I've (embarrassingly) been freaking out a lot over on my little patch of LJ over this whole S2 thing. I was just wondering--your column, over on the left? How'd you get that?

Cause I've got this nice pretty column of recs and links in S1, that I just can't figure out how to translate into S2. And the pics-next-to-each-entry. Can't figure that out. D'ya mind? If you're busy (or just have better things to do and don't want to), then that's completely alright, I totally understand. ut you just seem to have it all together, and so I was hoping you wouldn't mind showing me yours, how you got it to all work.

Ok! That's it! I'll stop bothering you now!

You've got me there. I don't know how you got all that cool stuff in yours, much less in the new thing. All I have is the "Free text" box, which I put song lyrics in. If you could tell me how to get extra boxes, I'd love it.

To customize to S2, go to:

http://www.livejournal.com/customize/

Be warned, you might lose all your links and recs when you change over to S2, and have to re-enter them.

On the 2nd option "Choose style system" select "New System (S2)".

Then go down to the button that says "Edit Customizations"

If you follow that, you get to a page with all sorts of easy explained options for lay-out, color, links, etc. The left/right thing is at the very top of the lay-out page.

just fyi, the Customization options and most of the descriptions for them are defined by the person that codes the style. So how it is set up in Componenet is completely different than the options in Generator.
