um rum rummy rum cake, oh how I adore you.

I love how your rich, sweet texture warms my insides.

I love how your incredible flavor makes my taste buds writhe in ecstacy.

I fucking worship cake.

In other, less saccharine news... I got a phone call today that began with the words: "Hello, this is the President of the United States..."

Unfortunately it was a recording, so I wasn't able to tell his honorable 2nd-rated-ness my opinion on his new mission of cleaning up daddy's messes in the Middle East.

I was, however, able to get some small satisfaction in hanging up when he asked that I support the Republican party in the next election.

Sorry, Junior, but I still haven't forgiven you all for wasting 40 million of my parents' taxes on Kenneth Starr's paycheck.

And spending tens of thousands of dollars to install curtains in the press room to cover up the naked breast of a centuries-old Lady Liberty statue? Not helpin' your party's image.

And I really haven't been properly convinced about this 'get Iraq' thing.

Citizen Bush-- come back and ask me again when you've been democratically elected and you've fired Ashcroft, and then I might consider waiting till the END of the recording to hang up.

Hah. I call him that too- citizen Bush. Yay you- I wish it'd been a real person on the phone to hear what you had to say.

tell me about it, I wish there'd BEEN a real person just so I could say even a bit of that stuff. And get decent answers in return.

Sadly, I now have to settle for watching The West Wing and bemoaning the fact that Aaron Sorkin's version of the Pres *isn't* running the country.

I miss Clinton. Yeah, I wouldn't have wanted him for a husband, but I was mostly happy with him as a President. I felt like he had for the most part the same idealistic goals I did, but also had way more brains than me. I was mostly content with this feeling.
