I'm currently smack in the middle of the new FX show Nip/Tuck.

It's gross.

It's offensive.

It had horrible people...

...doing horrilbe things...

It's well-directed and well-acted.

It's absolutely sick, yet weirdly funny.

I'm going to stay and watch the rest of it.

I watched it tonight too! I seriously almost puked when they were doing the operation on the Perez guy. Gyuck.

I was amazed that throughout the entire episode I went from hating the main characters to feeling really bad for them multiple times. I found them both very intriguing and layered.

And ooh! Did you notice Inca Mummy Girl later on? She was the girlfriend who got Botox from Christian. I get all excited whenever I see actors from BtVS on other things.

I did too! They're dispicable people, and yet already I've come to sort of like them.

I loved their conversation at the end, and how the one guy reitierrated "I think we should hire a psychologist full-time to screen subjects."

The graphic sex and gore put me off a bit (it was something in the tone of the sex-- on tv I like sappy stuff, I can't help it), but I was fascinated by how much they got in there. It was quite blatant.

And ooh! Did you notice Inca Mummy Girl later on?

I was shocked too! Especially since the graphic sex was all within the first ten minutes or so. I just sat there with my mouth open in amazement.
