As I slowly reinstall all my processes into my computer, I've been doing what I like to refer to as "foldering." Bascially, foldering is when I go through all my files and I organize them into folders of almost the smallest category. No lumpy groups of mismatched program files all in one long list I have to scroll through on my start menu... everything is made clean, and neat. And as I install new software, I set up new folders categorized within the start menu each time, so I don't have clutter. This actually takes a horrendous amount of time. I haven't even started on my website bookmarks yet... that will take a few hours to sort through. Especially the anime sites, which tend to go cross-category. Buffy too.
If I have a BtVS website that has fanfiction, fan vids, and screencaps, do I sort it into the video folder, the fanfiction folder, or the general btvs folder? How do I label it in the future so that I know it has any number of those things?

That way, if you have something that doesn't fit neatly into one of the sub-categories, you can still have it under the main folder's umbrella. As in:
BtVS--> Miscellaneous or Combination sites; Video; Fanfic; General fan site. I'd put something like the Official site under "General," because it's about the show as a whole, rather than a character or a fan aspect offshoot, and so isn't quite like a Miscellaneous or Combo site that has a lot of fan elements, but no overview of the show. Hope that makes sense.
good ideas
