I blended a bunch of ice cubes and orange juice together, and every time my hands get too cold from touching the glass, I put them on my sunburned back, and I feel a bit better.
If you're really sore and miserable persuade someone to dab diluted vinegar over the sore parts (or add some to a cool bath and have a soak) you will smell kind of interesting but it's an old, old folk remedy for sunburn.
(Australian here - know something about sunburn. Although not at the moment - Winter in Victoria, temp dropped below 0 Celcius last night.)
Interesting; I've never heard that one before. Usually for small cooking burns I would dab sap from an aloe plant (we used to keep some in a pot in the kitchen before it died), but I've never heard of vinegar. It doesn't hurt anymore today, and thankfully it didn't prevent me from sleeping last night. I'll remember that and try it next time though.
