I was bored, so I took the quiz again...

I think both of those answers suit me pretty well. Kissing/Romance-stuff is indeed very fun. And so is winning and arguement. Or staring at a really hot guy as he beats you in an argument.

Date: 2002-10-17 12:56 pm (UTC)I love all these quizzes you are posting. I'm becoming sadly addicted to quizzes. :) And I acutally haven't seen any X-Files ones before. After "BtVS," "The X-Files" has to be my all time favorite show. In fact, they are probably tied but I just didn't like it when Mulder was gone. :(
I'm a newbie to this whole livejournal thing & I was happy to find you on here...since I know you as one of my too wonderful to describe reviewers from fanfiction.net! I added you to my 'friends,' hope you don't mind... I think you and Nos are my most faithful readers/reviewers -- so I love you both forever! :)
Thanks again for the quizzes. I'm going to go try some of them out now...

Date: 2002-10-17 02:11 pm (UTC)I didn't recognize your name at first (though weirdly I did recognize your id-pic...::shrug::), so I just dropped by ff.net to find out what stories you'd written that I'd reviewed. You're the vanilla suicide author! ::big grin::...::frown:: You haven't updated in ages! Bad writer, bad!
 I hope you do write more stuff soon though. Until then, I'll look forward to you LJs. And I'd love any opinions you might have of my fiction as well-- I write anime, B/S, and a few x-files stuff, all one-shots, at ff.net.
I've only been doing this LJ thing for about a month or so, but I already am addicted to it. I loved it. If you go check out further back entries of my journal, you'll find a LOT of quizzes. And all the people on my friends list like quizzes too-- even if they pretend they hate them, they keep doing them anyway. :)
I used to be SO addicted to X-files. It was what Buffy is for me now-- "appointment t.v." That's where you make a point to watch and/or record it every week, without come hell, high water, or electrical shorts. I pretty much stopped after season seven though (which I don't even remember well), but I did see the series finale. I started watching Buffy instead when season six started, never having watch the show the first 5 years. This meant I was an instant B/S-er... Angel who? Ahh... all beloved obssesions should begin with seeing a bleach-blonde stand in the middle of a burning street and kick a demon off a motorcycle in a promo. I stopped and said "WHOA! Who is tha' GUY?!! He's so HOT!" Yes... it was all downhill ship madness from there.
I read a really nice, and very short one-shot which was a crossover between XF/BtVS, post s-6. It was ensouled Spike having a conversation with post-finale Mulder & Scully on a beach... very sad little ficlet, a character study kind a thing, more than ship-oriented. I was thinking about rec'ing it in my LJ when I find it again.

Date: 2002-10-19 10:50 am (UTC)Thanks for the warm welcome! I am really enjoying the LJ experience so far. Though I am not nearly as prolific as yourself, yet. I need to write more often. But I find myself very behind in every aspect of life due to the fact I've been sick off and on since July. :( But I'm hopeful that I'm back for good. I know I've been a bad fanfic author... "Juliet is a very bad woman..." lol. But, I DID have reasons (excuses) and it hasn't been that long since I posted Chapter 7 on "Vanilla Suicide." I do plan to have another chapter up soon. I'm really getting into it again. Not being sick and having such incrediable Buffy episodes each week are fueling my fire again.
I'm going to have to go back and look at all the quizzes you've put on here. I love them & I'm not ashamed to admit it! I didn't get to take any the other day because for some reason quizilla.com wouldn't come up. Oh well, maybe I'll have better luck later on. I will also make a point to read your fanfic on ff.net. I've never mastered one-shots, I'm sorry to say... "Vanilla Suicide" was supposed to be one...and we see how well that worked. As soon as I started writing, the story completely changed in my mind. The mind is a fickle, fickle thing when it comes to fanfiction... mine is anyway.
You write both BtVS and X-Files... have you ever wrote a crossover? I love crossovers between those two shows but they seem very difficult to find. Especially stories by those who are true fans of both "The X-Files" and "Buffy." In a lot of stories I've read one set of characters is made to look completely silly.
Speaking of the crossovers, I actually spent a good amount of time searching for that story about Spike talking to Mulder and Scully on the beach, but alas without success. I really would love to read it. I hope you find it soon & post it to your LJ... Or if you don't post it, tell me where it is so I can take a peek. I *long* for good X-Files/Buffy fic.
X-Files used to be appointment tv to me as well. Believe me, I know exactly what you're talking about! I've been watching Buffy since Season 2, but Season 5 was oddly where I got completely hooked (in the insane sense). Now I go back and enjoy the other seasons more than I did originally. If you haven't gone back and seen Season 5, you definately should. Finding out about William for the first time, Spike figuring out he loves Buffy, Dawn being the key... It is such an amazing season.

Ah...well... See, I lack the invention, inspiration, and stick-to-it-ive-ness for a chapter fic. I just gets these wonderful ideas for scenes, but i never can think of a whole plot. I'm planning to try one out, though. Outlining and everything, now-- it'd be and an Buffyfic, AU from the beginning, but with all the same characters & fantasy elements, just totally different plot. Like the regular show, but shifted to left 30 degress, so what you get is really similar but really different.

I've only written two X Files fics, and about eight B/S fics. No, I'd love to do a crossover, but the truth is I've been too far away from The X Files by now to get it right. I know what you mean about the dissapointment, though. It's the same problem with Highlander crossovers, and book crossovers All the good buffy crossovers were written by B/A, B/X, or B/Other fans, I'm sad to say. Or they're all set in season 2-3. There's a few post-seasonn 5 or 6 ones, but most of them suck beyond describing, writing wise. However, you might want to look at "The Stranger Summer" by Ann of Midnight << http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=804495 >>. Its a good post-Season 6 Buffy/Smallyville crossover. It's not the greatest, but its pretty good, and getting better the further it goes along. Spike doesn't show up until chapter 10, I'm afraid, but there's a tasty Buffy-Spike confontation (very bitter, very fun to read), and the WIP fic looks like it might have serious B/S tendencies. :)
