then THIS is worth reading. A veritable rollercoaster look at the puzzling and indecipherable mystery that is your typical fanfiction reviewer; you'll sympathize I promise.

On a similar but unrelated vein (if there is such a thing?), I've discovered another thing about ff.net that really irks me: people who create an author registration but who don't post any fanfic.

They just do it so they can have signed reviews and a favorites list. I think it's inconsiderate of them, because it puts extra strain on an already overworked website system, and does so without giving back anything in return to the community. It's parasiticial and unnecessarily so, when you aren't required to be an author to read the fanfic anyway.

in return I'm gacking this link to the all-purpose fanfic review, and thanks!

I haven't been on fanfiction.net for a long time; I kinda liked the signed reviews though, when I got them, even if the reviewers weren't writing themselves. It was interesting to see who else they were reading.

Sometimes an author will have 'do not accept anonymous reviews' turned on. I think it's the default, actually.

Actually, I created a profile because I was seriously considering putting stuff up (this two years ago), then decided it I wasn't comfortable with it there. (That's when I built my own site.) Since then, I've discovered you can't delete the damn thing, so there it sits, unused and unloved since I rarely hit ff.net.
