On a similar but unrelated vein (if there is such a thing?), I've discovered another thing about ff.net that really irks me: people who create an author registration but who don't post any fanfic.
They just do it so they can have signed reviews and a favorites list. I think it's inconsiderate of them, because it puts extra strain on an already overworked website system, and does so without giving back anything in return to the community. It's parasiticial and unnecessarily so, when you aren't required to be an author to read the fanfic anyway.
