I spent the drive back from Senator Sher's office today listening to The Scientist by Coldplay on repeat, and reminiscing about the beautiful and abrupt ending of Farscape. Because that song always has been, and always will be, the definitive John/Aeryn song for me. It's why I'm still attached to my old icon (see above), even though I could probably remake it better and prettier now, if I wanted. But it has sentimental shipper & fan value.
Damn, I do love this song. The line "Come back and haunt me," almost makes me tear up, for it's simplistic combination of sadness, hope, and love.
On my own love front, I've decided that the tall smoking S is definitely only going to be a talking buddy, because he takes way too much care to lounge attractively when he's smoking outside the classroom. It's almost silly.
Unfortunately, I'm still totally clueless about F, from now on to be known as Mickey. That's the Maryland 19-year-old who wants to be a geneticist. I'm going to call him Mickey (though I think he's actually Persian), because Hey, Mickey, You're so fine. You're so fiiiiiiine you blow my mind.
He's staying in the class for the quarter, and voluntarily sits next to me during lectures (lab is once a week, lecture is 4 times a week.) Unfortunately, the class doesn't allow for much talking anyway, and today we didn't actually say anything to each other beyond a nod hello. I don't think he's that into me.
But what the hell, he's pretty.
