"Don't you touch me!"

The girl skittered away from him, hands raised in some twisted form of angry supplication, warding him off but trembling and clenching in his direction. "Don't you touch me," she snarled. Bitter blue eyes blinked too rapidly, and her shoulders heaved and shuttered in time with her breathing "You'd actually do it. I can see it in you, Harry Potter." Her lips trembled, her voice changed and she spat the words like an old woman.

"You will kill them all, Hary Potter. You will cry yes and the hearts of the Death Eaters will stop, and their children's hearts, and their granchildren's hearts--"

"No."

"--and you will not stop, you will not falter at their screams or the screams of your comerades--"

"No!"

"--and you will drink death of the blood of Voldemort's followers, unto the last squealing child."

I was thinking, not so much evil as ruthless. Like, if he was told that the only way to beat Voldemort was to do a spell that would kill him and all his followers...but would also kill all their descendants, even ones that aren't evil or that are still innocent children. At what price, the world?
