I'm still learning how to animate icons effectively, so this was very much an exercise in that vein. Beyond that, I have no clue. I'm not even that excited about the HP movies. I hated the first two and expect little of the third, despite a new director.

But I started with the Draco clip, which, although I don't think much more of movie!Draco than movie!Harry, was a cool image in itself. Visually, the clip appealed to me. Then I just made a few more...

This was my first experiment with it...


...and it yeilded these two versions of an LJ applicable icon:
1a. - 1b.

I had to play around with size a lot to keep quality and to keep the number of frames I wanted.

This next one comes in two versions also:
