I'm trying to remember this Cowboy Bebop Spike/Faye fanfic I read a while ago, that was unfinished. All I remember was that it was really good, long, and had a great very important scene with Spike and unconscious!Faye hiding in supply closet while they waited for the antidote for the Syndicate poison to decide if she lived or died.

Sound familiar? I know not many of my friends list reads CB fic, but here's hoping...

I have browsed through some of my saved fics and since learned that the story I was thinking of was called "Deus Ex Machina" by wickedtigerlilly... unfortunately I can't check if it was updated because it doesn't seem to be available on ff.net anymore, and the author isn't register anymore either so I can't follow her profile page to see if she has the fic on a personal website.

I find this very distressing. I really wanted to read the end of it at some point.

Would you like me to bug Lily about it for you? I don't know if she ever finished, but she's a friend of mine (honorary little sister) and I can poke at her for it next time she's online. Or actually see if I have her current e, not sure about that last part. o_O

Would you, please? Bug her, harass her, beg her... tell her if she finishes it I would happily mail her a copy of my home-made soundtrack of collected CB music (all the best songs with vocals) with it's pretty Spike cover. Or I'd mail it to you, and you can mail it to her.

*g* I'm sure she'll be happy to share whatever she wrote, but I don't know how likely it is to get new fic from her--she's in an advanced med school program (girl has more brain cells than I have leg hairs) and is quite busy, hence the not seeing her online as much. But that is quite the enticement!

I have to say, my favorite fic of Lily's is the one where Spike and Faye had to dress up as nuns. Classic.
