Kind of sorry, isn't it? Add to that Mexico and BC Canada, and that's the extent of my travels.

You'll see below that the majority of the states I've visited are on the West Coast. I have two reasons for this: 1) I live on the West Coast, so it only makes sense. 2) I really loved going to Washington DC, and visiting Virginia was fun, but I swear after one day at Gettysburg I thought my eyes would go blind from all the green. Not dark green or light green or shady green...endless hills of not-quite-construction-paper-green. Grass-blindness, like snow-blindness. Green, Green, everywhere.

I can't take that for more than a few days. I live in greens too, but my greens are vineyards and fields and brown hills and reds and yellows and sea green and dark green trees and light green orchards every damn shade of every color *but* not-quite-construction-paper-green.

Nevertheless, there's so many places I want to go that I haven't. And I'd go visit Virginia again. Besides the humidity, it was great because I loved being in DC and seeing everything. But once we drove out of the city... AH!! Green everywhere! Hide me! Give me yellows! Give me mountains! Give me ocean!

If you don't like green, never visit my part of England. Green rolling hills, green meadows, dark green punds and fens.
Oh and bright yellow oilseed rape fields. Hellishs if you get hayfever!

Fens aren't just green though. They're multicolored. I like fens. I don't know what a pund is, but if it's a pond, then I like those too.

Fensround my way are mostly green. Ok they have browns and yellows, but they are mostly green.

Mostly. As opposed to absolutely, uniformly, unbroken green. I love green and prefer green things. But I need that mostly and that variety. I don't know what the area of Virginia I was in looks like all year around, but for that week in September it was green hills everywhere, all exactly the same color. Like a wall calendar.
