timepiececlockI've watched 4 episodes of .hack//sign, and I have to say that this is the slowest freakin' series I've ever seen. However, the music is gorgeous, the animation is good, and I'm just into it enough to want to see more. But I already know it's going to test my patience quota.
I was thinking about the setting for this series, and I've decided that the RPG world of the characters is simply WAY too boring. They're all complaining about the kid breaking rules of the game and such... that world needs a frickin' revolution or civil war or something. That would be a more exciting game. Plus, who set up these Scarlet Knight guys as peace-keepers? Lame. If it was good a turly free environment, there wouldn't be any need for peace-keepers and law enforcement. And if some did develop (because no society stays in a state of anarachy for long, even a fake world), then everyone else could simply rebel until you're back to a state of anarachy again. It could be a fun cycle.
