Speaking of dead... I think the Hokage is going to fail, and bite it. It's kind of a sad inevitability I've seen coming for a while. Damned if I don't want to give Konohamaru a hug because of it. Poor kid. It's amazing how this show makes me care so much about the fate of even most minor characters. I feel like I know them, and I really want all of them to be safe. But I have this horrible feeling they won't be.
And speaking of that... I'm really starting to feel for Temari and the sand kids as a whole. They don't deserve to be brought into this stupid war. Well, they do deserve it actually because they're ninjas and that's what ninjas do... but it seems way unfair to me. That they were brought here thinking they could take the exam, and instead are ordered to be part of this disaster. Now they're just trying to get through it as best they can. And I'm seriously feeling for Temari's terror of her bother. Gaara is messed. He's a piece of work that makes Sasuke and Naruto look like they've had it easy all these years.
And by the way, eew. Gaara's demon is icky.
Is Kankuro dead from Shino's bugs? Because eew, again.
When are Naruto and Sakura going to catch up!??! I'm dying for a Naruto/Gaara fight. Whose demon can make a bigger bang, and what will be the cost for those around them.
This is all so very interesting! ::bites bottom lip:: I want the next episode NOW!!
On a side note, the art was very well done in this episode. Good eyes, good action, good effects. Some episodes have better animation than others (though as a whole the series is very high quality), and this was one of the better ones. The best action animation still belongs to the Naruto/Haku fight in Wave country. Nevertheless, I'm pleased as a kitten. Also, I liked the voice acting a lot in this episode. It seemed particularly strong too, from nearly evey person who spoke a line... Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Shino, Temari, Kankuro, Gaara, Konohamaru, Iruka, the Hokage, etc etc...
