Apr. 15th, 2004 12:07 amThis song I like. "Carry On My Wayward Son" by Kansas. Old song. But very cool. I used to think this was a good BtVS!Spike song. Because, you know, every song ever written is about him.
However, I've since come to decide that any song by Kansas is also meant for Spike Spiegel of CB. Cause "Dust in the Wind" ? Most gloomy, depressing, fatalistic song EVER. Of course, perfect for Spike. Anyway, I really think that "Carry On" is especially poignant when you listen to the opening, which is just the singer's voice and no instruments performing the chorus, and think about Spike. I would almost like to vid that one day. ::secretly nudges Jaina for CDs of Cowboy Bebop::
Today, though, I made an interesting discovery on www.animemusicvideos.org. Lo and behold, it was a TRIGUN video to this song! And I discovered that, much to my chagrin, "Carry On My Wayward Son" is ALSO perfect for Vash. And Wolfwood!
It's like, the ultimate theme song for sexy angsty guys living in denial of their angst even as it weighs down on them.
