ok... I've decided this occasional thing of monopolizing my LJ as a way to inflict B/S fanfic recommendations on all of you poor deluded souls who put me on your friends list is gonna become a habbit.

I'm a gusher by nature, see. I stumble across something I like, I fall in fan-love with it, and I proceed to gush to everyone who will listen. Buffy, when I found that. Though most non-buffy fans don't WANT to listen. at all. B/S fic, since I found that. Smashing Pumpkins, since middle school.

Of course, if you ask me its all legit because the people & stuff I gush about are always the really really good gush-worthy ones-- but then that's my opinion. And you know, since this IS my LJ, my opinion is the only one that anyone cares about. I am the law.

:snicker: Sorry, that was too easy. Anyway, where was I going with this again? Oh, right. Recs. They're gonna appear, every so often. Not like a weekly thing, but rather as I find them and subsequently proceed through the gushing/squealing phase. But I only rec really really good ones dammit! ::grabs head:: ARRGH-AAH! See, there, I'm starting to gush again. Tis embarrassing. And yet, it's what I do.

Anyway, read Half Gifts by Alice (Automated Alice on CW). It's.... it. kinda s-7, but different. and yet, not. but its go this british slang everywhere, and i don't understand a quarter of it but i love it anyway. and the the tub scene. such a great tub scene. and the watcher scene was good too, with spike yelling--awesome speech, made my heart flutter all girly-like. i like the narrative style here, because its stparce, and different.

And the page has got a pretty banner pic. :)
Anyway, that's enough gushing tonight.

I'm glad I kept reading though, once I got used to the narration it turned out to be a lovely story.

I had the same feeling, initially--- I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but at the same time something was really drawing me in. Once I got used to how to read it, I loved it madly.
