I skipped Inu Yasha tonight. I remember this ep and I didn't much like it the first time around. Next week's episode though-- that's a good one.

I did watch Wolf's Rain ep#3. In comparison to most anime, this has lovely art and lovely music. However, the story... it's so average. It's so... mundane. It's a normal anime bishounen plotline with one-dimensional characters from same production company that made CB, which was full of fascinating plotlines and extraordinary characters. I can't help but compare them, and Wolf's Rain suffers for the comparison. Not because it's bad or anything--- it's just not great.

And the little one is just so fucking annoying.

Oh well. This is only episode 3 after all, and there's two dozen more eps to go. I'll be watching next week as usual.

Oh god--- am I going to be able to watch cable in my dorm at UCI? I can't lose Cartoon Network-- it's kill me! Gotta find a way, gotta find a way...

Nope, I just work in an industrial park that's really near UCI. Plus, there's a Trader Joe's and a post office right across the street from the campus, so I'm driving by fairly often.

Cool cool! I'm so excited about going there this fall. I've never lived outside of the Bay Area. Not wild about LA smog, but I should be far enough away I think that that won't be too bad.

Actually, this area of Irvine is very near the water, so it's generally smog free. Also, it's right next to Newport Beach, and only about...hmmmm...twenty minutes (if even that) from Laguna Beach, so you're never really that far from the water. In fact, you get marine-layer fog quite often in the evenings.

The campus itself is quite pretty, as is the area surrounding it. There's even a bird sanctuary within walking distance.

Since I don't actually live near the University, I'm not too familiar with what's going on, but I can try and answer any questions you might have about the area.
