Spike woes.

I _still_ haven't watched the Angel finale. Can you believe that? The VHS tape is waiting by the living room television.

I'm, like, a failure as a Jossverse fan.

I think it's because I fear for Spike and his future and how I'm going to make it work with Buffy in my head, even though Spike has been OOC and yo-yoing in personality pretty much since the season started and I wonder why I want so badly to believe S/B is still possible in AtS canon even though the real Spike died last year. (see icon) I guess it's because even though this unSpike is stupid and doesn't act like six years of Spike was built up to act, I still love Buffy and believe she deserves to have Spike, even a Angel-i-zed version of him.

Besides, one week with her and he'd be back to normal. Buffy and Dawn could de-Angel-fy him right quick.

I'll watch it this weekend. I promise. It's amazing that I've gone this long and no one's spoiled it for me yet. Better not push my luck.

I was worried at first, not just about Spike's characterization but the whole season in general, but from AHITW and on it kicked all kinds of ass. I'm not a big MotW type of girl so the return to the arc was a huge relief for me. In the end I really had no complaints.
