Anyone else notice how Shigure is the slut of FB fic? He gets paired with freaking everyone.

----

I watched Kill Bill 1 with my family on Saturday night. My brother and I had seen it before, my dad, mom, and aunt hadn't. I was surprised, but my mom sat through the whole thing and even made a few jokes afterward instead of walking out and giving me a look that says "why do I ever let you convince me to watch this awful stuff?"

I guess there's something about campy movies that can take in people who loath the entire genre these movies spoof.

I still love O-ren Ishii's council speech. And I've still got to convince someone to go to the theater to see volume 2 with me.

I did watch the "making of--" thing on the DVD. The interviews with Tarantino cracked me up. He uses the word "like" the way a California teenager does-- spoken rapidly, interjected between every 5 words, and with great nuances of emphasis and meaning that only one's fellow like-saying peers can truly appreciate.

I don't even know where he grew up or anything about his origin, but it cracks me up to hear "adults" talking the way I did 3 years ago and still do when I'm relaxed.

Ranma would get laid more than anyone in Tokyo if ficcers had their way.

He's also the ultimate crossover slut as well. Pair him up with Sailor Senshi!Tenchi!Inu!MKR!Kenshin! That boy really gets around.

I  Mason from DLM. He's cute.

I just wanna pinch his cheek.

Do read or watch Naruto?

I know of it, haven't seen any eps yet though. Way, WAY behind on the anime front. Hell, I've only now just started really watching Cowboy BeBop. I was considering taking a look at Trigun next, or would you recommend Naruto first?

Oh, and here's the link to the rest of the Hellsing/Buffy cross. I shoved it in the memories section and forgot to link to it on the main page. Doh!

Hell, I've only now just started really watching Cowboy BeBop.

::gasp:: Quelle catastrophe!

First, finish CB. That is an anime must.

Second, watch Trigun. A) it's one finished season whereas Naruto is 3 seasons and still going, so you should get through it first. B) I want to talk to you about Trigun because your brain will just go POP! watching that show. I adored it. It is one, long, single-character analysis disguised as an action/comedy/drama. It's not about what you think it's about when it starts, not at all. And that's a beautiful thing. Trigun is not what I'm watching right now, but it still takes the cake for my personal favorite anime. Ever.

After that, you must dive into Naruto. Seriously. It's... it's everything. It starts strong, only gets better, is addictive like a mad thing and, once you're in, it fries your brain and leaves you wibbling.

Then when you're caught up to current Naruto stuff (it's a WIP, new eps weekly!), you need to watch Fruits Basket. Because that show will make you laugh and then cry. In a fucking cool and goofy way. Rich rich rich in symbolism and layered themes. Soooooooooo good. It's my mood theme right now.

Then, watch Full Metal Alchemist. I'm watching this show right now. I watched 15 episodes in a marathon at Fanime Con and my brain was literally removed from my head, stretched, beaten, given a wax job, then screwed back together again and sewn back into my skull. Then the same thing happened to my heart. I'm rewatching it now-- up to episode 12, and I have the rest of the first season downloaded.

Here's your To-Watch List:

1. Cowboy Bebop. 1 season. 1 movie. (skip the manga, it was done after the show and is one of the worst mangas I've ever seen save GW) Complete.

2. Trigun. 1 season. manga, though it differs in many ways and thus I suggest the anime first. Complete.

3. Naruto. 3+ seasons. manga, anime follows almost to the letter.

4. Fruits Basket. 1 season. manga, anime follows very closely, but manga continues beyond where the anime ends. Complete anime, manga is a WIP.

5. Full Metal Alchemist. 2 seasons. manga that anime follows at first, diverges at some point. Complete.

This is your absolute much-watch list. Copy this list and bookmark it.

FMA will be on Adult Swim in October, if you get cable. Trigun and CB currently are already. Naruto is only out in fansubs (but they're all over the internet; I can give you links). Fruits Basket is out on 4 DVDs.

I don't know why I made that small text. ::sigh::

Also, I have just one more to add.

1. Cowboy Bebop
2. Trigun
3. Naruto
4. Fruits Basket
5. Full Metal Alchemist

6. The Vision of Escaflowne
- 1 season, divergent manga that is not as good. A movie that is so horrible that you will weep and demand your money back. But the tv series that was first... this is the best anime series I've ever seen. Trigun is my baby and Naruto is my mad addiction, but Esca takes the cake from a critical perspective. On every level it is stellar.

*Phew* looks like I've got my work cut out for me. Thanks! I don't have expanded cable, but I can probably find them on bittorrent somewhere or up in the newsgroups.

I'd previously nabbed what I thought was a torrent of Full Metal Alchemist only to discover it was actually Full Metal Panic. Heh.

Do you know anything about One Piece or Tenshi Ni Narumon? I've got the most revolting cel of Raphael that someone offered me for bills for because, apparently, he is TEH HOTTZ!

One Piece is entertaining, VERY entertaining, but I like the manga better. Because the manga and the anime are almost exactly the same, the manga lets you get through the extremely long multi-episdoe fights a little faster. Also, it's kind of repetitive the way Ranma 1/2 is repetative, you know in a cute and dependable way, and that repetition is easier to take in manga form.

www.boxtorrents.com has full sized torrents of MANY anime series, including FMA. unfortunately I downloaded it, and it skippes 3 seconds every once in a while. Doesn't really damage your viewing, but it is annoying.
