So someone held a contest at some point for Alucard/Integra smutfics. Since I've never read good Hellsing smut before in my life, I'm kinda jazzed. The first one I read was pretty damn hot. and slightly icky. Which is no surprise because Alucard is pretty icky.

I've always thought AxI smut would have to be disturbing and somewhat squicky, simply because of the characters involved. Ironically enough, while I can take warm and fuzzy in just about any fandom (up to a certain extent), the thought of either Alucard or Integra having their personalities warped in such a way sends me into a flying rage.

In this particular case, it's all about the nasty, bloody sex for me. Heh.

well, we don't really know enough about Integra's personality beyond her work to rule out the possibility of her having emotional fluffy lovemaking with someone... but Alucard? We *do* know enough about their relationship to know that that's about as likely to happen between them as a pig randomly exploding in the middle of an airport and splattering all the hopeful passengers with piggy entrails.

Integra has always seemed to me quite the power tripper. Thankfully, there's a lot more to her in the manga than in the anime (which has got to be the two most disparate personalities for one character). In the manga, she rather likes to watch the other knights stumble around and fail before finally stepping in and making everybody look stupid. Though I recall her quite willing to walk back out into a city overrun by FREAKs simply because she was out of matches.

But I agree with you there on the likeliness of it ever happening. I rather like the UST myself.

Starting on Bebop #3 right now. While it's interesting, I'm not quite feeling the love just yet.

It took me a long time to love CB. At first I was definitely a casual watcher. It's a series that's easy to not invest very much in at first. Episode 3 is better than 1 or 2, I think. But the first episode that made me really like it was #5. Even then, though, it was just like. Only after I finished the whole thing and looked back did I start to feel the LOVE. It's the end that really makes it go from like to love for me, but the fact is you can't just watch the end because the end is built up after everything before it, only you don't realize that until it hits you like a truck at the end. I do heart that show though. And the music! Gah, the music. Yoko Kanno is my goddess.

also, for I/A, when I watched that show my basic reaction to the two of them was that "They would be really hot together, all that sexual tension, but it's even hotter because she will never let him have her."
