"Alchemist's War" by shippochan, to the song Tenth Man Down
anime: Full Metal Alchemist
spoilers: really only for up to episode 15, though there were a few non-spoilery flashes from episode 20 or 21, I think

Why: I was very impressed by the action editing here. It was fantastic. It seemed to flow so well, and to a song I'd never heard before. The editing also succeeded in building up very strong themes-- mostly that Life For Edward Is Harsh and Painful.
"Hunter's Sacrifice" by WhiteClaw48, a trailer video to LotR: The Two Towers (instrumental)
anime: Witch Hunter Robin
spoilers: um... up to episode 14, a few beyond that but the imporant ones are up to episode 14

Why: This one really builds, but it's kinda creepy as it does. It also has exception action editing, and timing to the music. Just exceptional. It pulls you in. It made me want to dig out my WHR discs and watch them. Which means it works pretty damn well.
