Naruto's World by Einhänder
song: My World
artist: SR-71
I am very picky about Naruto videos, and when I find one that is pretty good, even better one that is not a strict action video, I like to reccomend it because such vids are few and far between. This video is interesting because it focuses on the Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke relationship and explores that theme pretty thoroughly. It made me go "Awwwww..." in a sad kind of way, and want to comfort something. A big part of the reason the video works for me is that the song was very well chosen in terms of lyrics-- it wasn't just any cool song slapped onto a cool show. The words are practically a Hallmark card to Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke angst.
While at times the video tries too hard with special effects, overall the timing is good and the clips chosen all emphasize the character themes of the video. I especially liked the occasional shot of the butterflies from the 1st season ending credits-- it added to the video's emotional-artistic-rather-than-action-artistic ambitions. It also got 31 reviews which makes it hot snot on amv.org, and it turned out to be worth the look I gave it.
