This wonderful post by arivelz on fm_alchemist has all the Full Metal Alchemist theme songs in complete length for downloading.

I already had them, but I thought a few flist folks might be interested. I especially recommend "Rewrite" by Asian Kung Fu Generation, the 4th opening theme.

And you can too, come October! That is, if Adult Swim doesn't edit it too badly and hoping the dub doesn't suck rotten eggs.

Even if the dub is low-par, though, the story and characters are so good that it will be pretty compelling anyway. At the moment, depending on how it is, FMA might knock Escaflowne off the top of my list of best anime yet seen.

Suprnova.org has most of the series. It has episodes 1-40 in one giant torrent. I'd suggest grabbing it that way, if you can, as episode 38(in English) seems to be a rare and mythical creature that only appears in that giant 40 episode torrent.
