My post-NLM feelings.

The dance of Spuffy shipper-dom:

La la la la LA!

We're gonna wiii--iiiin!

We're gonna wiii--iiiin!

Spike haters? Eat shit.

We're gonna wiii--iiiin!
We're gonna wiii--iiiin!

Nya nya nya nya nyaa!

Spike haters? Eat shit.
Well said. One of the things I loved about this episode is that the evilistas have to suck it up and eat their words now. Like [livejournal.com profile] anniesj said, Spike's redemption was made canon by making Buffy herself a redemptionista. Buffy finally said what we've all been saying all along: "I believe in you, Spike."

Yes, yes -- Buffy is definitely in the redemptionist camp now. Not a doubt in my mind, not after that speech in the basement (which I still say is the emotional equivalent of "I love you" for Buffy, she who trusts no one). And of course, this makes me all happy and glowy and prone to making sappy LJ icons. ;)

And [livejournal.com profile] rashaka? I love your song. If I was a record producer, I'd give you a contract. ;)

::big grin:: Yes... it's an old classic from the days of my youth--- usually used to tease another mercilessly about their impending massive failure--brought to the fore on the momentus occaision of Spuffy love.

Can I be honest?

The Redmptionista fen scare me and the Redemption storyline bores me.

So probably not gonna happen any time soon.

Although if someone could explain to me HOW exactly Spike ISN'T becoming like Angel (as Joss promised over and over again) I'd really appreciate it. As someone said, "oh look. It's Beauty and the Beast and Amends in ONE ep instead of two. Well. That makes it completely different!" Sigh.

I love honesty. It's why Anya's my favorite Scooby.

And I was only teasing about the change-your-mind thing, you know. I'm not goona change mine any time soon so it'd be unfair of me to expect you to.

All this (and I've heard it a lot in the last week since Sleeper) makes me want to watch Amends again. I only saw it once, last year during one of the FX reruns. So I've avoided debate about it.
And I can't comment on the Angel thing much, because I've only seen a slim few episodes of AtS (just enough to know the major characters and very very major events), and I've not seen a lot of repeats of the earlier episodes of BtVS. I know more about how Angel was then though, than I know about what he's like now. So I've tried to mostly talk about Spike, not Angel... though sometimes they certainly overlap in conversation.
