Sep. 5th, 2004 01:24 pmWell, I've posted my first chapter, Rockefeller Tall, of my first Full Metal Alchemist fanfic.
Title:Transcontinental Lament
Characters: Roy, Hughes
Spoilers: Episode 25
Category: Angst, Drama
Pairings: minor Hughes/Gracia, otherwise none
Summary: Episode 25 and Roy Mustang. A five-part vignette for dreams, for fools, for a world that moves on.
I am very pleased with this fic so far-- it's bigger than I normally do but not too big, so I will be able to actually finish it. I also kinda had fun choosing the chapter titles, because I played around with the whole train thing, and as such made a few winks at Atlas Shrugged, which had a lot of railroads, trains, and metaphors (also some politics I didn't agree with, but very interesting writing). Choosing the main story title was really hard though, and I'm still not too certain about it.
Note: "Suo Gan" by the Ambrosian Boys Choir is the saddest song to listen to when writing sad fic. It's so beautiful, but that only makes me more sad.
