These are my new FMA icons. Mostly, Roy Mustang. And some Riza Hawkeye.

I have to admit, I am insanely proud of these first two. They're the two funniest icons I've ever made, the first because it's absurd, and the second because no quote sums up Roy Mustang's angst better than the words of Spike of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, season 4. Maybe it's funnier if you've seen the episode Pangs, but even still, it cracks me up.

. . . . . . . . .

(Yes, that first icon did start with a goofy need to have Roy Mustang say "Dude, Hawkeye, what the fuck?!")

I was just wondering how you did the motion blur one. I'm assuming motion blurred it one, saved, and then undid it and motion blurred it more, and so on and so forth? (I haven't been able to figure it out completely yet and I've been interested and doing that trick for awhile.)

I did use the motion blur. I blurred it three or four times, each new frame a little more, and then when I made the animated version, I used some of them twice. So it looks like this:

Frame1 (still)
Frame2 (blur+1)
Frame3 (blur+2)
Frame4 (blur+3)
Frame3 (blur+2)
Frame2 (blur+1)

So it goes blurry, then goes back again. I didn't need to double the still frame because it was first, so when the cycling animation restarts it will be back on that anyway.

Thank you! I've been so curious about that. I'll have to give it a try sometime. :)

I used Adobe ImageReady. It came with the pirated version of Adobe Photoshop that I got, though at first I didn't even know I had it. But since I learned to use it, I like it a lot. It is really good at optimizing colors to get the most frames under 40K and still look good.

Having just seen episode 15, I should *not* be laughing over the second icon.

But I am.

Because you are an icon comedy genius. I also have to grab the still of Hawkeye and Roy because that is one of the best moments of, "And you say men are the rational thinkers...?!"

I know! It's terrible! The way the genocide of Native Americans was terrible. But somehow, the line still seems so damn funny. And plus, it makes fun of Roy's angst, which is the whole point and driving purpose of his character.
