timepiececlockSo I was trolling amv.org and I came across a few videos to the Modest Mouse song "Float On." The one only one with an anime I recognized was a FLCL vid. To me, that sounds like a perfect match. "Float On" would be a hard song to make a video for in the first place; FLCL is just random and absurd and visually stunning that a video would work well.
Of course, the vid was terrible. Long clips, no effort to time any bit, and worst-- subtitles.
That always happens. I come across what looks like the perfect marriage between song and source material, and what happens? The person who made it puts in less time than I take when going to the bathroom.

Date: 2004-09-14 09:46 pm (UTC)I would have been a lot more forgiving if they had just chopped the bottom off to get rid of the subtitles. Even though that's crude, at least it's something: there's no excuse for having subs there.
