Yes I am getting so sucked into this pairing. It was the recent episodes that have done me in.

The mechanisms of the game, by zauberer_sirin. Roy/Riza, and one of the most entertaining romantic fics I've read in a long time. The whole thing is structured cleverly around the deconstruction of classical romantic comedies and their use with the characters at hand.

You are an invaluable resource. I fear venturing into the wilds of anime fic alone (gods preserve me from Fangirl Japanese), but the call of fanfic is strong -- recs save me the bleeding eyeballs.

(Although at the moment I'm still mostly worried about getting spoiled. But I'm up to ep 17, so at this rate it won't be a concern much longer -- but that kinda makes me sad, as catching up means getting to the end and I don't want it to end!)

Yes, by all means I will be your filter. If I know people are interested, I'll put up more of the good fics as I find them. :) I will brave the wilds.

You should NOT go to ff.net. You will be spoiled beyond your worst nightmares and you DON'T want to be spoiled for this show.

Right now psychodragon82 also has many recs for FMA fic too. Including some slash (or yaoi as its called in anime fandom), though that's not really of interest to me in FMA. In fact, Roy/Riza is pretty much the only ship I think about, and I don't even think about that all that much unless there's a scene or fic that prompts it. Shipping is just not a big thing in FMA canon.

Unfortunately, most fanfics right now are shipper fics, so you end up with a lot of fics where characters that aren't all that romantic have romantic happenings, and very few strictly drama/action/mystery/adventure fics, which would be more suited to FMAverse.

Though really, there's not much to the fandom yet. It's small.

Still, STAY AWAY FROM FF.NET AND ITS SPOILERY EVIL!


I think the two top fics in this post are not really spoilery for anything beyond episode 15. But the bottom ones I haven NOT read yet so I can't say But I can read them tonight and tell you if they are or not. :)
