I have not read the manga. 1, because I heard it wasn't that great, and 2, because I don't think it's what I'd enjoy in manga anyway. I watched the series for kicks, but was never very attached to it. I was impressed with the art and design, but the plots lost me fairly quickly after the Valentine Brothers. While an entertaining distraction, it's not a series I really feel any desire to pursue further.
