I just realized that Shikamaru of Naruto (see "the brain" pic in this post's icon) looks exactly like a kid version of Kimbly from Fullmetal Alchemist.

Oh my god. My favorite brainy lazy babyninja grows up to be an evil psychotic mercenary who blows people up and slaughters innocent villagers for fun!

It's a sick sad world.

Ah. That's your ship? I know that's probably the second most popular Shikamaru ship after ShikaIno, in fanfic. Well, back when I used to browse ff.net.

Yup, Shikamaru/Temari is my ship, as in singular and only pairing that I actually ship (unless you count my general Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke OT3 squeee a la Kyou/Tohru/Yuki)--they're the only two characters I feel are actually close enough to puberty that I can entertain romantic thoughts about them! ;D I have general squeee/awwww thoughts over various characters as pairings, but I squee over almost everybody equally. Pet me, I'm a shipwhore!

I think it's an okay ship, but I don't really understand where people get it from. ::shrug::

I don't know where in the story people would get it hardcore from, say, anime-only-thus-far. There's some stronger possible hinting later in the manga, though, and that's where *I* got it from.

What am I gonna do when they get older and the shipping really hits?

By the way, having read the manga as much as you have--do you think we'll ever get to see them when they're older.

There have been so many images in the manga that show the Fourth and Naruto as looking biologically related that I can't believe Kishimoto doesn't want us to suspect that. He might even confirm it!

Re: grown up Naruto--in one chapter, the title page gave us pedophiles a glance of Older!Naruto. I view this on a weekly basis. Guh and guh.
