You know what would make a pretty music video? Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake-- either "Sea" or "Finale"-- to the anime The Vision of Escaflowne.

I'd also love an FMA video to "The Battle of New Orleans." Unfortunately I don't know if that song even exists on the internet. I've never seen it anywhere. My mom has it on a 45 record-- it must be old.

Edit: or not. Because I just found it for free downloading on amazon.com.

Believe it or not, a bluegrass band made up of students from my school actually played that song at our school's Veterans' Day program last week. ^.^

Awesome! This is the version I remember, I'm pretty sure. Is it the original?

I probably won't make a video for this (I have yet to make any vids-- I get ideas but I haven't tried yet), but I think I'll go make a few FMA icons to it right now.

Johnny Horton's version of the song became a hit in 1959, about a year before he died. I think there might have been a few versions before his, but his version is the most well-known by far.

Ha HA! I am on your flist and I actually have 2 versions of the song. Why, you ask? The orginal is from a clogging class I took (don't laugh, some of it is actually cool--think the dance on the bar in Coyote Ugly). The second is a dance mix type thing my parents' line dance demo group uses.

Could you send me the dance mix version? I'm damn curious as to what "dance mix" means when applied to this song.
