I get great amusement out of reading the Adult Swim board (when I can tolerate the obnoxiously childish netspeak, anyway), since FMA has aired.

Just reading people's reactions. And knowing that they have no idea what's about to hit them. They're all, "Oh, it's pretty good so far but it'l never beat Cowboy Bebop/FLCL/etc."

I'm in the corner, snickering and laughing my butt off. Because they have no idea.

I'm sticking with it mainly because of your various posts on it. I don't really have anything against it or anything, but so far it hasn't really grabbed me either.

I'm glad that you're watching it! I encourage you to watch the whole thing of course, but really you just need three more episodes. That's sort of the "litmus test" as our not-so-dear President would say, for the show. After episode 8 you'll know if you're going to like the series or not. You'll either want to stick with it and see more or you'll turn away.

Not better than Bebop, possibly better than Inuyasha and Case Closed. I'd include more but... eh... I don't watch more.

And there we have it in the proverbial nutshell.

'Possibly better than Inuyasha'. Bitch, please.

How can you *not* want to watch more than three shows? Think of what you'd miss.

'Possibly better than Inuyasha'. Bitch, please.

I know. ::shudders:: I like IY, don't get me wrong, but there's really no comparison. That's like saying creme brulee is possibly better than an oreo cookie.

I dunno. Maybe it's the dub.

I was hooked like a bass at a tournament after number one. It took my skeptical husband exactly two episodes to become ravingly obsessed.

This is a faster obsession time than any other show for me. I think I wasn't really hooked on Bebop until Ballad of Fallen Angel.

Just you wait, 'enry 'iggins, just you wait.

One of my friends doesn't much care for anime other than Inuyasha, and wasn't at all sure about this strange title I kept telling her she was going to watch. After the first episoode? "I can see myself spending quite a bit of money on this in the near future." By the third episode, she was writing fic. Did I mention that she watches it four times a week, every time it airs?

I love my cracktastic show.

Cracktastic it is. And I can't wait for the next two weeks. Man, the next two episodes (it sucks that they are gonna be a week apart... they're really powerful to see together back to back, almost like a two-parter) just made me know not only was I already liking this show enough to spend money on it and write crazy odes to characters, but after this I knew it was something special, and positively different from any other anime I've seen yet.
