What are the religious afilliations of U. S. Supreme Court Justices, past and present? ... very straight-forward page, with categorical (by denomination and percentage) listings. The sort of thing you might have wondered about and never knew. For instance, there was one Quaker-practicing Justice, but there have never been any Mormons, and Rhenquist is the first Luthren on the court. Neat, huh?

DBZ DIVX - this page hosts the most recent episodes of a few different anime series, including Nartuo, Bleach, Samurai 7, and Samurai Champloo, for direct download. It used to feature FMA when that was running, but has stopped since the series ended. While sometimes slow to update, I've found this site to be a life-saver given that I don't have bittorrent anymore, and I need my crack Naruto. You have to be up to date with the 1 or 2 latest episodes though, because they don't have an archive of older ones. (although, right now they have an odd exception and are currently hostings eps 107-112 of Naruto.)

http://asfdotcom.net/ - an archive of all the episode opening themes, closing themes, promos, and commercials for the "Adult Swim" programming block on the Cartoon Network. Includes media for anime series (FMA, Inu Yasha) and comedy cartoons (Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Futurama).

"Coin-Operated Boy" music video by The Dresden Dolls - I wish I could have eyebrows like that and still look that good.

Lunabean - my favorite website for PS2 game walk-throughs. Has saved me in a pinch more than once, particularly when I just can't find one stupid little item in Kingdom Hearts, or remember how to get around.

http://fullmetal-alchemist.com/ - the ultimate fancy-pants high-brow FMA fan website. I love these guys. They have manga, they have music, they have episode summaries, they have excellent FMA news updates, and their site is so organized. And easy to read. And never gives me headaches like other fansites.

Fullmetallist LJ Community - of which I am the chief community pusher. We're a small but industrious community, just starting out and figuring what we want to be. FMA fans and those curious about FMA are welcome, welcome, welcome.

And BEST OF ALL!...

[livejournal.com profile] hecatehatesthat found FMA dub episodes 1-4 in direct download format. It doesn't have episode 2, but I do (thank [livejournal.com profile] flutingfrenzy!) so if anyone needs just say please and it I can yousendit.

That's *direct* download?

Oh I love you. Thank you. I had only seen 1-3 on bittorrent, which the goregously helpful [livejournal.com profile] flutingfrenzy downloaded for me. I can send you ep 2 if you want it.

I hope they come out with episode 5 too-- my VCR didn't work here at the dorm and I forgot to call my dad and remind him to download it for me so he probably didn't get it either. Luckily I was able to watch it when it was on, though.

In the manga I read from the 3rd's funeral onward, so I did see the rooftop fight, yes.

In a way I'm glad that I read ahead because I was getting bored with where the anime was, but in a way I'm also sad now because I think I would have enjoyed the drama of the last Naruto/Sasuke fight more with color and sound.

I'll probably still continue to download them. The real question, though, is what am I going to do with the eps I have. I'd save them to DVD but lately my computer won't recognize DVDs I've written, so I might not be able to retrieve them. But I'm running out of space, you know? And I wanna download other anime too, but I wanna keep the eps that I have. I'm an anime packrat.

Yeah, not all the stuff on that site is direct dl, but the FMA dubs are, and that's what I care about. I'm DYING for 5 to go up, I haven't seen it. I haven't seen the dub of 2, either, actually -- it would be awesome if you sent that to me.

I know what you mean about enjoying seeing Naruto with color and sound -- I love that too, that's why I keep downloading epsiodes (and then I can't bring myself to get rid of them either. I need all my shows to be available for me to rewatch whenever the mood strikes! I totally feel your pain of the space problem.), but I wouldn't be able to deal with the slooow pace of the anime without having read ahead, no matter how pretty it is.
