Well, had a fun weekend in San Diego. Went drinking and dancing. Went tidepool walking to collect strange animals with my friend's zoology class. Got to touch an octopus, and other things.

Watched FMA 21 in dub. Love that episode. Full of Teh Creepy Upside Down Heads. I'm now skimming the reaction thread at the Adult Swim board. It cracks me up how the sub fans wouldn't name Greed as being Greed until his name was actually given, so instead everyone called him Squall. Because of his fur collar.

I admit, that may only be funny to Final Fantasy gamers, but it cracks me up.

Episode 21 was one of those eps I was like "OMG NINA OMG I HATE THIS FUCKING SHOW! Oh my god I love this fucking show it's so evil."

I also love the Scar and Al reluctant team in this episode. Al's too earnest and nice so Scar doesn't kill him (who could resist the earnestness of Al?) and so instead he's like "I totally don't like you and I'm so going to kill your brother as soon as I find the little brat and I'm definitely not helping you but you can still tag along because you're strangely hard to say 'no' to."


My favorite dub-fan reaction on the AS boards:

"Will anybody just stay DEAD in this show?!"

I'd swear I think I said the exact same thing at some point.

Nope, it comes out in theaters in Japan THIS summer. I'm all top of the whole movie thing. I've downloaded the new trailer, read magazine scans and plot synopses, and generally gotten myself totally worked up in anticipation of it.

Who knows when it will come out in fansubs, though. The Naruto movie isn't even fansubbed yet. ::cry::

I'm sure eventually it'll be brought over and dubbed by the same cast as the tv series.

NO! Stay away from my Mustang baby! ::clutches Roy and protects him from the scary blonde:: Thou shalt not hurt him! How could you want to kick him? Granted, I wanted to kick him in the first 13 episodes or so, but not after that. ::pets Roy:: He's my little romantic idealist. We must love and huggle him.
