Just caught a few minutes of The Lord of the Rings on a cable movie channel, and they were on the snowy pass talking about going through Moria.

Now, as I recall, Gandalf fell into shadow when he fought with the Balrog at Khazaad-Dum (my poor spelling aside), on the underground bridge.

And I was just thinking... isn't "Khazaad-Dum" (my poor spelling aside) the same name of the planet where The Shadows originated from in the tv show Babylon 5? And didn't Captain Sheridan "fall" to his death there, only to come back alive (I don't remember how), where supposedly no one ever returned from?

Did the Babylon 5 writers just decide to rip that part directly off of Tolkein, or what?
