She talks about Japan a lot in her songs.

And she used to wear her hair in odangos. Dyed blue.

She probably watches anime.

Probably. Although, I wanted to fling something at the TV the first time I heard her say "SUPER KAWAII!" 9.9 Fangirl Japanese pisses me off, no matter who it comes from. :/

I have multiple language grudges against her. For instance, she made a song called "Hella Good," ripping off our northern California slang and making beaucoup bucks for it.

And since I've moved to Southern California, every time "hella" slips out (because that's how I talk, dammit! it's an adjective!) some local gives me a weird look or asks if I "got that from that No Doubt song?"

ARRRGH. I like hella songs No Doubt... but that one just makes me snarl.
