THIS MOVIE MUST BE SPOKEN OF IN CAPS, EVEN THOUGH THE CAPS DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE.
You know, it's odd. I'm not going to say it was the best movie ever made or anything, and it's not my LOTR, but I just came in with such low expectations (imagining a sickening Batman & Robin at worst, a decently enjoyable Batman Forever at best), and was completely unprepared for such a visceral superhero film. I left feeling all excited ahd happy and high and bouncy and squeeful. I'm *still* riding the residual happy from the movie, now 2.5 hours later. I wanna go see it again, and pick it apart from an analytical perspective now that I've done the initial fun viewing.
And seriously, I rarely *ever* want to pick apart comic superhero movies. The last one I really liked was Constantine, but that was more like I really liked aspects of it and I appreciated that it was rather atypical for comic superheros. But that one I just liked-- this one I really REALLY liked. This one really sparked my fannish insides. It felt very...cinematic.
