Oh my god, he killed Kenny!
That bastard!

Brandon has the dub voice of Jin from SC and Hotohori from FY. Oddly, it sounds too feminine for Brandon. More feminine than I expected.
Harry's voice I don't recognize, though it's not entirely unfamiliar. Kenny's voice sounded exactly like how I expected it would sound.
I promise, this is the last Gungrave post I make without spoiler-cuts. But really, it had to be said! Long live the SouthPark generation.
p.s. Brandon is hot! Yes, I am smitten. I don't know if I'll like his future incarnations, but Street!Punk!Brandon with the sleeveless vest and tight black pants and dog tags and shaggy Johnny Depp hair... looking about my age... yeah. I'm totally smitten.

Date: 2005-07-15 10:16 am (UTC)Yeah I can see Mark voicing Sasuke but I guess we might not even hear it if it was a hoax regarding 3 of those VA's. The only ADV series I have is FMP! so thats the only version of Chris I get to hear.
I remember a long time ago when a few peeps were just joking around about who did they think would do voices in Naruto dub. I believe Steve's name did come up and its still not surprising that he was picked for the role. I guess in some ways, Steve is like Crispin, almost everywhere you look, they are tagged for main characters or its just too easy to automatically KNOW who is going to be picked for whatever character cause its always going to be one or the other to get that role. Its funny cause back in the days, it used to be Scott McNeil.
Quite shocking that Steve wasn't in FMA. Steve also does voice tracks for Gungrave Overdose game as Fangoram, Zelle, and get this....Bunji >____< I was actually disappointed in his way of voicing Bunji. It wasn't the way that we are used to hearing Bunji in the anime dubbed or subbed, he didn't have that rough and tough smokers voice.
I never thought about Wolfwood's voice for Kakashi, interesting. I don't think I ever heard him in anything else aside from Trigun, though I see he's listed for Gundam 08th MSTeam (my fav series aside from GW) but it doesn't say as who. Yeah, thats my thoughts too on how Johnny could pull off doing Naruto IF he is the VA picked for him. It would still sound kinda weird. And I just realized it after I mentioned about Johnny could've voiced Brandon, perhaps not. Ppl would complain "its too much like Trigun even if he is speaking quieter." Which I think he still could've done Brandon okay, just picture Kiba, he did a pretty good job on how he handled the tone for the character. Yeah! Kid Vash would be a good choice for Naruto too.

Date: 2005-07-15 07:46 pm (UTC)The thing with Heero's VA doing Sasuke that amuses me is that Sasuke's japanese voice sounds so frickin' old... and I always thought Heero's voice sounded too old, too manly. So it'd be a neat little paralell there if he was chosen.
Scott McNeil as Kakashi was my second worst nightmare, but that was still SECOND, not FIRST. And sadly my first worst nightmare happened afterall.
I'm still bummed it wasn't Wolfwood's VA, however. Now that the idea has occured to me it's kinda growing in appeal. ::slams down growing appeal:: I shouldn't get attached to the idea, though, knowing it's not gonna happen.
I admit, in my head Sasuke's dub voice is already chosen... it's the voice from the Ninja of the Night video. That's bonded as English!Sasuke voice in my mind.
