Symbolism of the main character's emotional state... in a bead bracelet? Check.
Guns, planes, ships, and automobiles? Check.
Conspiracies abounding? Check.
Ed being cute and weird and insightful? Check.
Jet being awesome? Check.
Spike being emotionally fucked up? Check.
Faye being emotionally fucked up? Check.

Seriously guys, this story is my fic equivalent of FMA. To date there is no other fanfiction story that have I followed longer, theorized about the characters more, postulated deeper over, waited more anxiously for, or been more addicted to. Sometimes she goes a while without updating and I don't think about it for a bit, and then there's an update and we get more and sometimes the anxiety melts my brain.
You know how some fics that you read you know could end tomorrow and you'd be sad, but you'd be okay? And how other fics you want so badly to be finished no matter what?
More than any other fanfic out there, I want the combined story of She Wanted To Die and Leadbelly to come to a conclusion. I *have* to know how it ends. I *have* to get some freakin' answers, about Faye's past and the movie and Rosco and Spike and everything that's so mysterious and ominous.
Anyway, this is tonight's fic rec. Go read She Wanted to Die. Then read Leadbelly. Then leave a review. Then come back here and we can exchange theories on what the fuck is up with the whole Ezekiel thing.

Once she was done she looked down at herself, not having the luxury of a full-length mirror, mildly pleased with what she saw. She put on some lipstick. She suddenly felt as though she could do anything.
And it was with that philosophy that took her to the doorway of Spike's room. Spike was lying back against the headboard smoking a cigarette. The room was blue with smoke and darkness.
Faye pointed a finger at him like she was pointing a gun at his head.
"Fuck you." She said.
"Pardon?" Spike replied, looking as though he were stunned but determined not to show it.
"You heard me. I said fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck Julia. And fuck your stupid, chicken shit deathwish."
