Since after the fiftieth time of trying I am still unable to get either Adobe Premiere Pro or Vegas Video to play anything but a blank black screen for avi files, I've decided to try Windows Movie Maker.

So far I find the clip cutting system simple and clear enough, but the audio song I imported sounds really garbled.

Also, pairing clips with music is already proving a dauting prospect in practical application.

On a different note...

Vidding is a difficult and evil thing. Good luck.

Mind if I ask, what are these things. I mean some are obvious, but some are not familiar to me at all. Like cowboy eggs, jello-pretzel dessert and slumgullion.

slumgullion, best as I recall (it's been a while since I had it), is:

-1 can cream of mushroom soup (for the sauce)
-vegetable (frozen peas or brocolli usually, sometimes with water chestnuts added for substance too)
-hamburger
-served over noodles.

It's been a while though so I might be forgetting something. Basically it's supposed to be a quickly made pasta dinner that you can throw a lot of different things into.

Cowboy eggs are scrambled eggs with bits of diced onion, bell pepper, ham (if you have it), canned pre-sliced potatoes pan-fried, and lots of American cheese. All mixed together. It's basically a way of doing scrambled eggs for a dinner.

The jello preztel desert is the best thing in the world and the only way I'll eat jello (otherwise I don't care for it). You take pretzels and chop them up tiny. Then you mix them with butter and sugar, spread it on the bottom of a pan, and bake it. Yay, crust! Then I believe you take equal parts cream cheese and whipped cream and mix them and spread it over the cooled crust. Then you pour liquid jellow on top of it and let it cool like that until the jellow solidifies. I think that's how you make it anyway. The resulting desert is wonderful though.

This is how you make mustard pork chops. I've gotten quite good and can now do it totally from memory.

Damn it, I think it's too late in the day to be this hungry. That jello pretzel thing sounds amazing. If you get the specifics, lemme know? Or you just live down the way, I'll drive for something like that ;) We can have a potluck dinner lol
