I woke up today and LJ had given me 100 icons instead of 50.

Um... thank you?

Would you like my total worship for the duration of my paid account? Cause you have it.

Actually, this brings home something I've thought for a while: although sometmes LJ eats my replies and occasionally there's technical problems, all in all LJ is really nice to us, and I keep using it as a blog BECAUSE it's still nice to us and like it so much. As a user to maintainer relationship goes, I like it better than FF.net by acres, better than the AS boards, and better than Hotmail.

ARE YOU LISTENING, LIVEJOURNAL? Because I wanna say that when you give me things, I love you. Yes, my internet love can be purchased. It can be purchased through consistant site quality and random gifts of bribery, both of which you're pretty good at providing.

EDIT 1: What am I going to DO with 100 icon spots?! I can have bunches of Tutu icons, and FMA icons, and icons that make fun of Sasuke, and Ninja of the Night icons, and Spuffy icons... and I'll STILL have more! It's insane! ...notthatI'mcomplainingoranythingcauseI'mtotallynot.

EDIT 2: I've been listening to this song since all day yesterday and OMG I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Thank you [livejournal.com profile] octopedingenue. Really, thank you.

EDIT 3: I'm realizing that a lot of these icons I saved back when I didn't believe in crediting people cause I thought the whole crediting thing was a vanity project. I still think it's a vanity project, but I have since caved to peer pressure. So a lot of the older icons say "by unknown".

EDIT 4: Who made the "Squishsuke!" Sasuke icon? Cause I have 50 extra spots, you see, and I want it. Got it!

EDIT 5: I can jump from icon community to icon community, and grab everything then show off to my friends! It's BAAAAAAD AAAAAAAAASS.

That song sneaks into your brain and WRAPS ITSELF AROUND FOREVER. I think it's the crashing cymbals of DOOOOM.

[livejournal.com profile] ladyjessamyn made the Squishuke icon, and I loooves it. And I am working on your Nearly Fatal Sin icon. Where's the original Sin post where we assigned everybody things?

I hunted it down a few days ago!

Yay, Squisuke icon! I just adore the font. It's so perfect w/ his uber-serious expression. Does it make you think of Finding Nemo? That's what it reminds me of.

Aww, I love Hedwig. I remember attending a show at the Jane ST. Theatre in New York, having no idea what it was about, and being promptly blown away. Wicked Little Town still makes me sniffle. Do you have the original John Cameron Mitchell version of Origin of Love?

There's the Original Cast Recording, the movie soundtrack, and the tribute album Wig in a Box, which has the Rufus Wainright version (and Yoko Ono mutilating Exquisite Corpse ::shudder::).

If you can get your hands on it, try to pick up the orignal cast recording - it's much better than the soundtrack (it's more...dunno...raw, less overproduced, IMO. Also, they slowed down a bunch of songs for the soundtrack). From the Wig in a Box album, Cyndi Lauper does a fantastic cover of Midnight Radio, that's absolutely nails.
